New Rochelle resident Tyler Davidson has been sentenced to ten years of probation after pleading guilty to promoting an obscene sexual performance by a child and possessing an obscene sexual performance by a child. At the time of his arrest in March, Davidson was a special education teacher at Lewis and Clark High School in the Bronx.
In addition to registering as a sex offender, Davidson has also been ordered to surrender his teaching license.
According to Westchester County District Attorney Anthony Scarpino, Jr., suspicious activity regarding Davidson’s email account was flagged in October last year, leading to the investigation. The District Attorney’s Office was alerted to the suspicious activity by the Internet Crimes Against Children’s Task Force. The warrant was executed this week.
